LARRY ZAHN
Associate Broker
Larry joined Swisher Commercial as an Associate Broker in January 2007 after spending the previous sixteen years of his local real estate career with two of the largest brokerages in the Ann Arbor area. Prior to entering the local real estate market, he was the Vice President of a company that developed a large residential resort condominium, condominium marina, condominium hotel and a restaurant in Boyne City, MI on Lake Charlevoix. Prior to beginning his real estate career, Larry spent twenty years in the automotive industry as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a large supplier of original equipment parts to the Big Three automotive companies. Larry graduated from the public schools in Ann Arbor and attended Eastern Michigan University.
As a lifelong resident of the Ann Arbor area Larry brings a strong knowledge of the community, county and its business environment to his clients. He has a strong interest and background in investment and commercial development. He can also offer several business resources, including business analysis, recapitalization and private financing sources to his clients through an affiliate relationship.
Larry has been active with several local service organizations including the United Way, the Ann Arbor Y Board of Directors, Ann Arbor Host Lions Club, Main Street Area Association and the Ann Arbor and Dexter Chambers of Commerce. He is also very active in his local church having served on its Council and is now co-chair of its Building Committee, which is working on a major renovation of the facilities.
Larry and his wife Debi have lived in the Dexter area for the past nine years and he is presently the Resident Manager of their homeowners association and President of the Board of Directors. They love to travel to Northern Michigan, especially Traverse City, as well as to Hilton Head Island, SC. Larry is an avid supporter of University of Michigan athletics and an enthusiastic golfer when time permits.
