WILLEM VAN REESEMA

Mr. Willem van Reesema specializes in Business Brokerage and Commercial Real Estate Brokerage. He is the 2005 winner of the MBBA most transactions award completing the sale of eight businesses in one year. He leads in coordinating the efforts between Buyers and Sellers and their advisors including attorneys, accountants, financial planners, bankers, and brokers, all working together to get the deal done.
Willem's past experience includes eighteen years in executive level sales roles within Fortune 1000 companies, venture capital backed Internet related companies, and as co-founder and owner of several small businesses.
Willem has been published in business magazines on how to buy and sell privately held businesses. He acts as a guest speaker on a panel for inventors with Patents that need assistance on business planning and capital raising. He is also an investor and owner of a documentary film production and distribution company. He has extensive experience with furniture system manufacturers including Steelcase, Herman-Miller and Hayworth and has provided design and move management services to large office spaces.
Willem is the past 2005-2006 President of the Michigan Business Brokers Association - Metro Chapter, and is the 2007 President of the Michigan Business Brokers Association.
Willem was past 2006 Interim-President of the Chelsea Center For The Arts, a visual art, music, and creative studies school.
Willem graduated from Michigan State University in 1989 and holds a Bachelors of Science degree.
Willem was born and raised in Ann Arbor and Chelsea and currently has a home in Chelsea, Michigan with his wife and son and daughter.
