ANTHONY (TONY) M. CAPRARESE
Tony joins Swisher Commercial as a Licensed Real Estate Agent and adds to its
staff over twenty-five years experience in operations and facilities management.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration/Management degree from
Cleary University and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "Institute
for Non-Profit Organization Management" at the University of Oklahoma.
From 1996-2002, he served on the executive staff of the High/Scope Educational
Research Foundation in Ypsilanti, Michigan (a 501c(3) organization). As Director
of Operations, he was responsible for the foundation's business activities
including the acquisition, management, and disposition of real estate holdings
including office, warehouse, rental properties, and vacant land.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ypsilanti Area Chamber of Commerce
(1989-1996), Tony provided executive leadership and direction to this membership
organization representing over five-hundred area businesses. The chamber became
the preeminent business advocacy organization in Eastern Washtenaw County.
Prior to 1989, Tony worked in the computer services industry. As Regional Vice
President of Operations for Interactive Financial Services, Inc. , his
responsibilities included the negotiation of long-term leases and the design and
implementation of building plans for data processing facilities located throughout
the south central region of the United States.
Tony is an active member in the communities where he works and lives. He serves
on the Ypsilanti Area Chamber of Commerce Community
Development Committee; is a member of the Ypsilanti Rotary Club serving as club
president in 2002-2003; participated in the Ypsilanti Downtown Re-development and
the Saline Community-Wide Planning Initiative; and has served on the Washtenaw
County Workforce Development Board and the Washtenaw Development Council Board of Directors.
Tony will serve his clients well at Swisher Commercial through his extensive
network of contacts and unique understanding of the diversity of businesses
and the economic development opportunities in Eastern Washtenaw/Western Wayne
Counties. He will represent clients in all types of commercial property
transactions including industrial, office, retail, and vacant land.
Tony and his wife Sonja, live in Saline and are actively involved in their three
children's school, sports and extracurricular activities.
